GRAND TOURISM CELEBRATION IN SILIGURI BEFORE DURGA PUJA 2015

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 12th September, 2015: Association for Conservation of Tourism (ACT) is going to conduct a historical event “World Tourism Day Festival 2015″ which is scheduled to be held on 3rd & 4th October 2015 at City Center, Siliguri just before the most coveted Durga Puja celebration in the city. The other partner of the event is City Centre, Siliguri. This event also aims to facilitate exposure of energetic and hidden talents of youths of India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh through radio, print, electronic, online and social media and also to exchange tradition and culture of the three neighboring nations to promote peace. During this two days ACT is organizing International Ethnic Fashion show, Bollywood Workshop by Nanda Kundu, Photo exhibition for photo-journalists of the three nations, Tribal dance, Digital Poster Designing competition and various other programs. This has been declared by ACT yesterday at a press conference at the Siliguri Journalist Club. Mr. Raj Basu in this occasion said that As 27th of September is the World Tourism Day and is being celebrated by all the ACT volunteers and units across the KRIEP region, the central celebration at Siliguri is being organized by the members on the 3rd and 4th of October, 2015 as World Tourism Day Festival 2015 at City Centre. Mr. Prasant Acharya, one of the members of ACT said that “The entire program would be culmination of various events like Photo Exhibition for the photojournalists, International Ethnic Fashion Show choreographed by the noted fashion designer of Siliguri Mr. Kuntanil Das, Story Writing on World Tourism Day theme, Sit & Draw and Digital Poster Designing Competition, Sanskriti Organic Haat, Bollywood Dance Workshop and Rural Tourism Exhibition.
